Festival Camping Checklist

Wondering what you should pack for Prairie Pothole Music Festival? We've got your back!
Always remember to reduce waste and one-time use items as best you can!    We want to keep the festival grounds as clean as possible!  Do your best to bring only what you will use to make room for awesome merch you will be bringing home! And above all else, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

Music Festival Camping Checklist

Essentials

PHONE + wall & car charger
ID + backup ID
Keys + backup car key kept in different place
CASH – more than you think you will need
Credit card/Debit card – shopping or emergencies
Proof of health insurance/AAA card
Tickets or printed email confirmation
Map or directions to venue!

Personal Items

Sunblock
Hydration pack
Insect repellent
Sunglasses + backup pair
Swimsuit
Prescription meds
Chapstick – can also be used to lube your tent zipper. That is not a metaphor.
Bandannas
Watch - don't miss your favorite artists!
Mirror (only if you really feel you want to look pretty)
Hat for the sun
Lotion/Moisturizer
Deodorant
First aid kit w/Ibuprofen, Immodium AD, bandaids for blisters, allergy meds, etc.
Tissues & Toilet Paper
Baby Wipes
Glasses + Contacts + Extra contacts
Toothbrush & toothpaste
Grocery bags + large and small Ziploc bags
Ear plugs
Small container for cigarette butts (altoids tin, empty pill over the counter pill bottles, get creative!)
Head lamp or flashlight
Cups
Water bottle
Frisbee
Fork & spoon or just SPORK IT
Socks & underwear + a few extras
Hat + wool socks + gloves + warm jacket
Flip flops or sandals
Comfortable closed-toe shoes. (we recommend an extra pair)
Rain boots
Clothes – layers are always best.

Rain gear
Condoms

Camping Gear

Tent
Hammer/Mallet for tent
Air mattress + pump or foam pad
Warm sleeping bag
Pillow + extra blanket(s) for tent
Tarps and/or tapestries - build a fort for shade and/or to put under your tent for less moisture wicking
Canopy/Shade structure to make your camp feel like home
Ground blankets – that you don’t mind ruining
Duct tape
Lawn chairs
Folding table
Camp stove + pots/pans/cooking utensils if cooking
Camp decor, get creative!
Black metal binder clips to hang stuff
Flag or camp marker (Surprisingly helpful)
Lantern or other nighttime light source
Large black garbage bags
Paper towels
Ice chests + ice
Plastic bin(s) to hold all of this
Eco-friendly soap
Water for cooking, cleaning up and splash baths
Pot for boiling water

Food & Drink

There will be awesome food vendors ready with hot eats for you, but you always want to bring some extra supplies for when the food booths are not operating.

Mixers
Gatorade or pedialite
Emergen-see and multivitamins – this is the ultimate secret to a great fest
Granola Bars or Trail Mix
Coffee
Candy, chocolate & gum
Group foods are fun! (pita chips + hummus, grapes, cucumbers, pasta salads)

FLOW TOYS! (Fire toys must be used in designated spaces and requires attendance to the fire safety meeting)
Camera + extra battery or video camera!
LED toys
Journal + pen + Sharpee marker
Fingerpaints, markers or crayons + note pads
Drum, guitar or zither
Face paint
Day bag for carrying all this around
